September 3 – Astoria, Oregon

Today we took Josiah to the Sea-Tac Airport.  We had the camper in tow, so he jumped out at the curb and found his own way through the airport.  He texted about 30 minutes later saying he made it to the gate.  He also let us know when he was in the air and when he made it home.

We headed to the Washington Coast, highway 101.  We followed it down to the Columbia River and crossed over at the 4 mile long Astoria bridge.

We camped at Fort Stevens State Park in Warrenton, OR.

We checked out a few of the beaches in the area and a military battery area.

Belinda and I played a few games of Ark of the Covenant.  Ark is a tile game similar to Carcassonne.

Meals – Pancakes and Sausage, McDonalds, Turkey Burgers and chips/salsa.

Jetty
South Jetty where the Columbia river meets the Pacific ocean. The Jetty redirects sand and water to make entry safer for boats. There have been over 2000 shipwrecks in this area in the last 150 years.
